Commission of two wedding rings in white and rich yellow gold; where the groom's ring is a made of white gold with a smaller band of yellow gold 18 carats. Vice versa for the bride.
Both rings are engraved internally with the partner's name and the wedding date.

After repairing the hinges, badly damaged enamels were restored with cold enamels, as close to the original colour themes and pigments used by the maker, George Lawrence Connell.

My customer lost one of those earrings on the gravelled drive leading to her house.
I was commissioned to make a replica out of the one left.
Years later that my costumer found the missing earring but crushed by cars driving over it many times.
This gold ring was submitted to me for repair. The first step was to delicately take out the gemstone before any heat treatment, such as annealing the metal to reshape, soldering the snapped shank together.
Once the ring was put back together, the opal gemstone was reset.
